What is Mediation?

Mediation is an alternative dispute resolution process where divorcing spouses meet with a neutral third-party mediator to cooperatively discuss and negotiate all the terms of their separation—including asset division, spousal support, and child custody. Contrary to what you may have seen in movies, we employ a “caucus” format where the parties are in separate rooms (physically or virtually) while the mediator goes between the rooms and works individually with each party to reach agreements. This strategy and approach create the environment needed to foster constructive dialogue leading to compromise. Through years of experience, we have found this approach to yield the best results.

Mediation Pricing
15-minute no cost information session (scheduled with Stacy or Randi) provided both parties participate.
This can be scheduled virtually or telephonically.
Mediation is scheduled on an hourly basis with an Attorney or Legal Paraprofessional (LP).
- Include 1 hour of Preparation Time Prior to Mediation
- A Deposit of $500 must be paid at the time of scheduling your Mediation Date

Document Preparation Rates
- Initial Dissolution of Marriage documents: $300 + filing costs
- Consent Decree of Dissolution (without children): $500 + filing/lodging costs
- Consent Decree of Dissolution (with children), Parenting Plan, Education Order: $600 + filing/lodging costs
All mediation rates include review of mediation memorandums prior to mediation.
