As a full-service law firm, Ellsworth Family Law can handle document preparation if you cannot afford to fully retain our attorneys. Document preparation is a great cost-effective resource for someone who is worried about not filing the right paperwork or possibly not filling out the paperwork correctly.

If you decide to utilize our document preparation services, you will meet with a paralegal to discuss what it is you are needing and the facts of your case. Our firm will then draft all of the necessary documents to be filed with the court and work with you on making sure everything is correct. Our office will then help you and give you the instructions on how to file the documents with the court. During this timeframe, you will still be representing yourself in court and none of our attorneys will not be able to attend hearings with you unless you fully retained our services.

Another scenario where document preparation may be a benefit is if the divorce or legal separation is uncontested, meaning that the parties have a full agreement on all issues, and it is just a matter of filing paperwork to get it complete. Under this scenario, you can always fully retain our attorneys if there is a breakdown and the case becomes contested.

Our firm offers a few different packages to meet your document preparation needs. For example, an uncontested divorce/legal separation from start to finish costs $1,500. For more information and pricing, see our website or click here.
